Dr. Naveenan
Dr. Naveenan was not born in Kuttanad. After his house surgeoncy, in the gap before his PG, he came to Ramankari and served there for a few years.
He then ran a hospital for some months from a rented building, and later built the hospital building that Lekshmi Nursing Home works from today.
Fifty years on, he still sees patients himself.
He is not from here. The people of Kuttanad have long treated him as family.
Family, not a stranger
Kuttanad is not where he was born, yet people turn to him the way they turn to their own. Many respect him like a god.
Many believe that his presence alone eases their illness.
